This week, the TECHSTYLE product development team was in Hong Kong at the Global Sources Consumer Electronics Show—an excellent opportunity to check in on the latest industry developments from the manufacturing side!
One emerging trend in fashion-tech that caught our eye could be called “Jewellification”—wearable tech increasingly designed to double as jewellery.
At the show, this was particularly evident in the true wireless earbuds category, with products mimicking the look of wrap-around or drop earrings.
Recently, wired earbuds have been regaining popularity, especially among Gen-Z. At the show, we saw designs where earbud holders were held on jewellery-like necklaces and in some cases the cables were cleverly incorporated into chains!
Charms also seem to be making a comeback, with several phone case accessories designed to resemble matching jewellery pieces.
At TECHSTYLE, we have already incorporated crystals into our accessories through partnerships with DIESEL and Swarovski.
Inspired by what we saw at the show, we look forward to announcing some exciting new products in 2025 that will take the fusion of tech and jewellery to a whole new level.
So, for news on some sparkling innovations—stay tuned!
